What To Expect

How does it work?
First, you schedule a discreet, confidential interview with us at our Detroit Suburb office located at 888 W. Big Beaver Rd., Suite 402 in Troy. This interview enables us to carefully discern what it is you look for in a potential partner. We talk about what has worked for you in the past (and what hasn’t) and what your interests are. Then, we match you with other Southeastern Michigan clients.

How are clients matched?
We select a person for you based upon the information we discuss in the interview. Our clients are successful professionals that reside all over the Detroit Suburbs, including Birmingham, Farmington Hills, Southfield, Novi, Rochester Hills, Grosse Pointe, and Troy. We can match you with architects, doctors, entrepreneurs, s ales and marketing professtionals, and much more. Our staff members have years of experience and create matches based on personality and physical requirements. Our service isn’t about video or computer dating; it’s about an insightful, professional IJL staff member hand-selecting appropriate matches based upon your desires, goals, motivations and our instincts.

How is the date arranged?
Once we select a match for you, we contact you by phone to tell you about the Detroit area single we have chosen. We respect your confidentiality and only give out your first name, never revealing your address, phone number or company name. We give you a concise description of your potential date and why we think this match is appropriate. Everything we know about you is taken into consideration for this process.

How and where do I meet my date?
The only work you need to do is to show up at the restaurant and enjoy the date. We handle every step. If your schedule makes meeting for lunch difficult, we can arrange for a drink after work. Our goals are that the match is well-suited and the time and place are convenient for both of you. We schedule dates at some of the best restaurants in the Metro Detroit area, including Andiamo Italia West in Bloomfield Hills, Larcos in Troy, Steve & Rocky's in Novi and many more. Our wonderful restaurant partners help us create an environment that makes getting to know the other person as natural (and fun!) as possible.

What happens next?
Actually, many of our first dates turn into second dates! At the end of the date, you can exchange business cards or phone numbers and make plans to get together again. For second dates, many singles choose dinner at Mon Jin Lau in Troy or Mitchell's in Birmingham. Following each date, we ask that you call us with feedback. From your comments and overall impression of the person, we’ll fine tune your next match so that we can be even more precise in the future. The process couldn’t be easier
